What is ANZ?

ANZ is the governance token of the USDz ecosystem, offering utility and control to participants. Inspired by successful governance models in DeFi protocols like Curve and Pendle, ANZ employs a vote-escrowed (ve) model, which rewards long-term commitment and active participation. Users can lock ANZ tokens to receive $veANZ, granting them the power to:

• Participate in governance – Decide on the allocation of protocol incentives.
• Earn protocol rewards – Share in the success of ecosystem driven by TVL growth
• Access exclusive features – Unlock exclusive protocol products and services reserved for veANZ holders.

How to Lock and Vote ANZ

1. Head to the vote page to lock your ANZ.
2. Approve ANZ on Base
3. Select a Lock Duration. The longer the duration, the higher the rewards.
4. Select ‘Lock’ and approve transaction

Voting

1. Once you have locked ANZ to receive veANZ you can vote on emissions
2. Enter a weight, from 0% - 90%, you’d like to allocate to your chosen gauge. There is a 10% minimum weight for the veANZ pool for each epoch vote.
3. Voting updates the share of total rewards that each gauge earns.
4. Votes roll over each epoch. To change your votes you will need to re-vote by going on the voting page.

The Power of veANZ

The vote-escrowed model incentivizes long-term commitment by offering significant influence over the USDz ecosystem. Users who lock $ANZ tokens receive veANZ, which can be used to vote on reward distribution across various pools.

To kickstart this governance process, the protocol will emit 10 million ANZ per month, distributed based on community votes. Emissions follow an epoch-based schedule, where each epoch lasts 7 days, starting and ending every Thursday at 00:00 UTC.

Governance and Rewards Allocation

At launch, veANZ holders will be able to direct rewards between two primary pools:

1. veANZ Pool – Designed to incentivize long-term ANZ holders, this pool is guaranteed a minimum of 10% of all emissions. This ensures that long term stakeholders always receive a baseline reward for their commitment to governance.
2. Aerodrome ANZ/WETH vAMM LP Pool – Providing liquidity is critical to a healthy ecosystem, and this pool allows users to earn rewards by supplying liquidity to the ANZ/WETH trading pair on Aerodrome.

As the protocol evolves, additional pools and governance features will be introduced, offering veANZ holders more opportunities to shape the future of USDz.
